We Do Social Work Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead the implementation of an innovative SEND reform programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new multidisciplinary model of support, improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, and make a lasting impact across education services.

The Role

As the Experts at Hand Lead, you will take responsibility for the mobilisation, implementation and early delivery of a new SEND support model. Working collaboratively with senior leaders and multi-agency partners, you will ensure the successful development of a sustainable, high-quality service that strengthens inclusive practice and supports early intervention.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring someone who can translate vision into operational delivery while building strong partnerships across education, health and wider services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of the Experts at Hand model.

Build and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, including education, therapy and specialist professionals.

Develop governance, performance monitoring and reporting frameworks.

Drive collaborative working across education, health and partner organisations.

Support inclusive practice through workforce development and targeted interventions.

Monitor service performance, evaluate outcomes and use data to inform continuous improvement.

Ensure effective use of resources to maximise impact and value.

Promote the service across professional networks and stakeholder forums.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Significant experience working within SEND, education, health or local authority services.

A proven track record of leading service development and delivering organisational change.

Strong partnership-building and stakeholder management skills.

Experience translating strategic priorities into successful operational delivery.

Excellent leadership, communication and influencing abilities.

A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
