At Simply Education, we are dedicated to improving outcomes for young people who need it most. We are currently partnering with schools and local authorities across Northamptonshire and are seeking committed and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils within specialist schools.
You will work closely with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) challenges. Your support will help pupils engage in learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
We support learners with a variety of needs, including:

Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)This role offers the chance to work in a flexible, person-centred way, supporting students both academically and emotionally.

We are looking for individuals with experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND or SEMH settings, who demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices is essential, along with an enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to obtain one) and the ability to provide two professional references.

We welcome applicants from a variety of relevant backgrounds, including Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEN support roles, youth work, care work, or those involved in therapy or educational support services.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to pupils in line with their individual needs, assisting with the delivery of learning activities and interventions, and supporting student engagement, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with teachers, tutors, and other professionals, while also recording progress and providing feedback on student development.

In return, we offer flexible working options ranging from part-time to full-time roles, with opportunities for remote support where appropriate. You will benefit from ongoing training and CPD, including mentoring, as well as guidance from a dedicated support team.

We also offer referral incentives for recommending other professionals and the opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to improving outcomes for young people
