Job Description:
Empowering Learning is seeking an experienced and energetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a primary SEN school in Southwark. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with complex needs, ensuring their educational and emotional development.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans.
Assist with personal care needs, maintaining the child's dignity and promoting independence.
Use creativity and enthusiasm to engage the child in learning activities.
Support the child in developing social skills and managing behaviour.
Employ strategies to manage and support children with autism, ensuring their safety and well-being.Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience working with children with autism in a UK-based school setting.
Personal Care: Ability to provide personal care and support to children with complex needs.
DBS Check: Enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service is essential.
Skills: Must be energetic, creative, and able to engage children effectively.
