Experienced Teaching Assistant - Intervention & Learning Support
Primary Schools | Full-Time & Part-Time | Aspire People
Aspire People are recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support learning, interventions and pupil development across primary schools.
This role is aimed at candidates who have recent practical experience working within a UK school and can confidently support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
IMPORTANT: Candidates must have practical UK school experience within the last 2 years.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils with Maths, English, reading and phonics
* Delivering or assisting with targeted interventions
* Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support
* Supporting pupils who require additional help to access the curriculum
* Reinforcing learning from whole-class teaching
* Supporting pupils with SEND where required
* Helping children develop confidence and independence
* Supporting behaviour and positive classroom routines
* Recording and feeding back on pupil progress
* Working alongside teachers to adapt support to individual needs
The Ideal Candidate:
* Practical UK school experience within the last 2 years
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Classroom Assistant
* Confident supporting primary-aged pupils
* Strong Maths, English, reading or phonics support skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a classroom team
* Patient, proactive and adaptable
* Strong communication skills
* Good understanding of safeguarding and school procedures
