PLEASE READ THE JOB BEFORE APPLYING - THIS IS NOT TYPICAL MILLING/ TURNING.
We are looking for an experience CNC Operator who has used on Lathes OT grinding machinery to start a brand-new role within a busy precision engineering company in the Whetstone area.
This is a role working a rotating early and late shift (you must rotate).
You will be working within a close-knit team and expected to operate special CNC machinery used to grind down optics to customer specifications. You will be loading the machinery, selecting the program from a drop-down menu (using Siemens controls), unloading the machinery, performing your own inspection, using some CMM machinery to measure and following route card.
The product is NOT metal, or wood as have a difference manufacturing process but can be training but you do need to understand precision engineering.
It's a super nice team, everyone is very friendly, you will be made to feel welcome, and you receive proper training on the processes.
What skills and experience are needed?
To be considered, you DO need to have a superb eye for detail, be flexible enough to work the shifts, have worked within a precision environment before, reliable and someone who either has worked within precision engineering before or a person who has some form of formal engineering qualification.
This role offers you:
£28K - £30K (DOE) per year.
Overtime paid at x1.5
20% shift allowance paid for the PM element of your work.
