About the DIO Accommodation Project Team
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project of developing the new Service Accommodation investment strategy to develop the Defence estate infrastructure. The project support role focuses on providing administrative, logistical, and operational support to project managers and project teams. This role is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution of project tasks, maintaining project documentation, and facilitating project activities. The Project support role is to ensure project success by handling administrative tasks, coordinating project activities, and supporting project managers in various aspects of project management.
Responsibilities (Not exhaustive)
- Providing administrative assistance to project managers and project teams.
- Assisting in project planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities.
- Maintaining project documentation, records, and data.
- Monitoring project progress, tracking project timelines, and updating project status
reports.
- Supporting communication and collaboration among project team members and
stakeholders.
- Assisting in identifying project risks, issues, and challenges and escalating them to
project managers.
- Ensuring project documentation, deliverables, and reports meet quality standards and
requirements.
Skills
- Excellent Organisational Skills: To manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and prioritise
effectively. Be able to create and maintain project schedules, track progress, and
coordinate resources efficiently.
- Strong Communication Skills: To communicate with team members, stakeholders, and
Senior leaders. Be able to convey information clearly, listen actively, and facilitate
effective collaboration.
- Problem-Solving Skills: To identify issues, analyse root causes, and propose solutions.
To think critically, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing project
requirements or unexpected challenges.

Experience:
- Previous experience providing administrative assistance and coordinating multi-
faceted activities.
- Previous experience and proficient use of the Microsoft suite of packages particularly
Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
