Location: Pupil Referral Unit (PRU),

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized learning plans, focusing on both academic progress and social-emotional growth.
Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are followed.

Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, honed through your experience in law enforcement.

A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to undertake relevant training in education and safeguarding.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a police officer, with a strong understanding of community engagement and support.
A passion for working with young people and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
Relevant qualifications in education or a willingness to work towards obtaining teaching qualifications.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
The ability to adapt to a dynamic and sometimes challenging working environment.
Desirable Attributes:

Experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity.
Knowledge of restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.
