Our locally curated voco Grand Central stands strong in Glasgow’s city centre, bringing together un-stuffy service and a warm Glasgow welcome to our business and leisure guests alike.

At Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel we want to deliver a ridiculously personal service to all our guests, whether they are relaxing in our Spa or enjoying sustainably sourced Scottish seafood in our iasg restaurant.

We are looking for an Events Sales Coordinator who is available to work 40 hours typically between Monday and Friday (some additional hours may be required at times, all additional hours worked are paid). This is a cluster role giving you the chance to work between our voco Grand Central Hotel and Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel!

You will work to establish client requirements to identify how our Hotels’ can facilitate their needs. Through both emails and phone calls, you will respond to Event enquires in-line with company standards in a prompt and courteous manner whilst ensuring that you are maximising Reservations, Sales, Occupancy and Revenue (including upselling relevant Hotel facilities wherever possible).

As Events Sales Coordinator, you will be looking after event enquiries for both hotels including (but not limited to) conferences, weddings, special celebrations, proms, grad balls, charity events, Christmas party nights, awards lunches and dinners. You will work with clients to build strong relationships, work with a variety of different stakeholders and prepare all paperwork for contracts whilst also arranging deposit payments. You will also be involved with property showrounds for both our Hotels!

To thrive in this role, the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are:

Strong customer service experience – ideally within a similar industry or role

High level IT skills, you will be using multiple systems to complete your work

High attention to detail, great organisation, and administration skills (you will be working within brand standards)

Good communication skills (in person and via the phone) with a positive attitude – you will be committed to deliver a high level of customer service at all times!

Well-versed at working in a fast-paced environment and motivated to take the next exciting step in your career!
