Events Manager
East London
Permanent - Onsite
We are recruiting for an Events Manager to join an outstanding educational organisation in London.
This is a brand-new role, and we are looking for an experienced Events Manager who can create and develop new processes.
In this role, you will be planning and executing events and activities, and managing staff and equipment. This includes managing the hospitality team, managing the event space, and ensuring compliance within H&S regulations.
The role will be fundamental to ensuring that operations at the London campus run smoothly, you will be managing budgets, and developing, and implementing policies and procedures too. You will be designing and implementing processes.
In this role you will be responsible for -
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developing briefs and inquiries focussing on the event planning and pricing structures. You will design event proposals.
* Propose new products and services to drive revenue.
* Work with the SLT to develop a pricing and yield management strategy.
* Liaise with internal/ external marketing and PR teams to develop a bespoke and relevant suite of sales promotion and advertising material.
* Develop and create a CRM system.
* Lead the planning and delivery of all events and meetings onsite.
* Actively promote meeting and events spaces to external businesses, utilising marketing, and networking opportunities
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to make sure all needs are achieved.
* Working with external networks and companies for supplier needs
To do this role, you will need the following experience
* Relevant events management experience (e.g. corporate meetings, parties, networking events);
* Hold a valid personal license to sell alcohol (or willing to obtain one);
* Experience working with back office / CRM systems
* Experience in general finance / P&L management.
* Able to work unsociable hours, including late nights and weekends.
* Experience of working in a B2B and B2C environment
* Experience of working in an educational setting (desirable);
