Description:

The Events Co-ordinator is required to provide event support and management capability to meet NWS strategic communications and engagement priorities.

The Event Co-ordinator will work with colleagues and Events leads across Directorate teams to capture, scope and develop event management solutions for corporate, directorate, stakeholder, NWS programme and community or place-based teams. Occasionally the Event Co-ordinator will work with third party event organisers to support event delivery, providing a central point of events information and expertise within NWS.

Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, the Event Co-ordinator will join a small team of in-house event specialists who work closely to support and provide expert events knowledge and additional resourcing to the wider business.

Additional technical and logistics capability and capacity is provided by NWS Events Support partner e.g. for creative and design, production and distribution, digital and face to face events, logistics, transport and onsite delivery. The Event Co-ordinator will work closely to brief and manage the supply chain for events to ensure excellent, expert delivery of branded events which strengthen stakeholder relationships and builds trust and NWS reputational equity.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement with colleagues across the business, an agreed calendar of events and support a targeted programme of event and engagement activity which meet corporate, stakeholder and NWS strategic and programme priorities.

These may include:

Planning and delivery of events which raise awareness and understanding of NWS strategy to build advocacy in Cumberland.
Providing events expertise and additional events capacity and capability to support communities and place-based teams, to deliver events and engagement activities which raise awareness, drive dialogue and understanding to support and enable GDF programme objectives.
Working in collaboration with colleagues to support Stakeholder engagement strategy and deliver agreed events eg. to Government audiences at national and regional levels, working with third party event organisers where and when required.
Identify and develop events proposal which support and enable communications and engagement initiatives which focus on Nuclear Skills ambitions for the recruitment of the next generation of nuclear workers.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

Degree qualification (min 2:2) or equivalent in Events management or Events, Event production or related Communications or Marketing/ Digital Marketing or related subject area.

Proven experience of working in an event management role or equivalent including:

Event production or Event supplier management experience
Digital delegate management solutions/ event registration platform experience
Digital or hybrid event management or production expertise
Microsoft Office suite experience
Desirable

Understanding/ experience of NWS procurement system (SAGE)
Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint expertise
Nuclear industry experience / knowledge

This role will be employed by LLW Repository Limited unless the successful candidate is currently on Radioactive Waste Management Limited terms and conditions. In this situation the employee will continue on their current terms and conditions.
