Position: European Operations Administrator

Location: Stoke-On-Trent

Hours: Monday to Friday (9am - 17:30)

Salary: Up to £28,000 (DEO)

We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and Internationally across all trade routes.

We seek a European Operations Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the team handling groupage trailers to various European destinations. The ideal candidate will come from a freight forwarding or logistics background.

Your key responsibilities as a European Operations Administrator:

Help to plan Export Groupage trailers.
Responsible for monthly P&L on designated service(s).
Tracking shipments and resolving any issues that may arise
Coordinating with carriers, customs agents and other stakeholders to optimise transport routes and costs
Quotations for customers, negotiating best possible rates
Maintaining accurate records of shipments, invoices and other relevant documents
Ensuring good internal communication between key departments, customer handling, Transport and warehouse.
Provide completed manifest to warehouse
Complying with all Exportation Documentation
Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
Gain a full understanding of our ISO/AEO systemsRequirements:

Experience in freight forwarding operations or logistic planning
Ability to consolidate cargo in the UK, with a good understanding of how to maximise their trailer payloads - desirable
Ability to demonstrate their skills to load/plan/route trailers for cost-effective groupage trailer planning - desirable
Must be able to plan loads and have had experience with using weights/cubes
Excellent customer service
Must be commercially aware and liaise closely with the sales department, be able to negotiate favourable rates and win business for their trade route
Good organisation and ability to work to deadline is essential
Knowledge of Export customs procedures - desirableBenefits:
