As a Barclays ETL Developer, you will be have an opportunity to be accountable for the technical delivery for medium to large scale regulatory projects in Barclays UK Risk, Finance & Treasury functions. You will have direct responsibility for the deliveries of the local team with an emphasis on solid cross-region collaboration. You will have an opportunity to use your expert technical knowledge and exceptional banking skills in Credit risk business process as well as your experience from previous developer position(s).

What will you be doing?
• Working as a part of an agile team of developers in credit risk regulatory and compliance data delivery projects 
• Performing SQL Queries to get complex results in Hive and Impala
• Delivering good quality and maintainable code with high test coverage 
• Performing unit testing and Implementation procedures
• Contributing to technical design decisions
• You will be leading the technical delivering in to PROD environment with relevant change requests
• Liaising and working closely with the peers within and outside of the team, keeping stakeholders updated on progress against milestones

What we’re looking for:
• Experience of working as a part of an agile team of developers in credit risk regulatory
• Working experiences with compliance data delivery projects with overall experience in Abinitio, Hadoop platform and Cloud Technologies tool like (DBT, GLUE, Lambda etc)
• Wide understanding of Data Structure and Algorithms and experience in implementing Medium to Big scale data solutions with excellent SQL skills in Hive impala and Teradata
• Experience on AWS or other cloud platforms 

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Credit Risk banking experience
• Regulatory experience (IFRS9/ BCBS) with control and compliance implementations 
• Previous experience within Finance, Treasury and Risk functions
• Should be able to work in an agile environment with evolving demands and increasing expectations

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus route.
