We're partnering with a leading international business looking for an ambitious Ethical Trade Officer to join its growing ESG team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting human rights, strengthening ethical supply chains, and supporting sustainability initiatives.

£31,000 - £34,000

What You'll Be Doing:

Support the delivery of global ethical trade and human rights due diligence programmes, ensuring suppliers meet customer, retailer, and international compliance standards
Review ethical audit reports, monitor corrective action plans, and work collaboratively with suppliers to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain
Maintain accurate compliance records, supplier documentation, risk assessments, and ethical trade platforms, ensuring robust governance and audit readiness
Analyse supplier performance data, identify emerging risks, and escalate non-conformances to protect supply chain integrity
Build strong relationships with suppliers, commercial teams, and key stakeholders to embed responsible sourcing and ethical best practice
Prepare compliance reports, customer updates, and management summaries, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making
Monitor retailer-specific ethical trade requirements and ensure all supplier actions are completed within agreed timescales
Contribute to the continuous development of ESG, sustainability, and responsible sourcing programmes across a global networkWhat We're Looking For:

Experience in Ethical Trade, Sustainability, ESG, Responsible Sourcing, Human Rights, Compliance, or Supplier Assurance within FMCG, food manufacturing, agriculture, or fresh produce
Strong understanding of ethical auditing, human rights due diligence, modern slavery legislation, SEDEX/SMETA, or retailer ethical compliance requirements
Excellent analytical and organisational skills with experience managing compliance data, documentation, and reporting
Confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships and influence suppliers and internal stakeholders
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment
Full UK working rights, no sponsorship or visa available
