Our client is currently recruiting for an Estimator to work alongside their busy estimating department, whilst also supporting their contracts department on civil and groundwork projects.
I am looking for a candidate who has experience in the civils and groundworks field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, fully conversant with Microsoft packages. Experience with Estimate program is desirable, but full training will be provided. Permanent role - Working hours will be 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am – 4:00pm Friday. However, on occasion, additional hours may be necessary. Predominantly based from our office in Heckington, but there will be the need to travel to site locations in order to fulfil the job role. Company transportation will be provided as part of the package to facilitate this. Salary dependent on experience. Holiday Allowance - 20 days plus Bank Holidays Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: • Assist the estimating team with specific take offs. • Prepare full tender submissions. • Pricing bills of quantities for tenders, predominantly civils, small works and groundworks. • Working alongside existing members of staff to assist with general day-to-day. • Provide detailed handovers and support to contracts department. • Conduct initial site visits to ascertain works required and take measurements, and support further visits on all civil and groundworks projects until the project reaches completion. • Assist CAD technician with design works for projects priced and secured. • Provide support to site managers for all civil and groundwork projects secured. • Liaise with Contracts Co-ordinator, and support the Contracts Department team as required. • Dealing with customers/client emails and phone calls. • Assist the Contracts Co-ordinator with contractual obligations. • Completion of valuations on all civils and groundworks projects, and others as required
