Project Manager/Estimator - Lab and School Fit-Out

Salary: up to £50,000 per year

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality solutions to educational institutions, ensuring safe and functional spaces for learning and research. As a small but dedicated team of around six staff members, we value collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing fit-out projects from inception to completion, including tendering, proposal development, and site visits. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Estimation and Tendering:
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for lab and school fit-out projects.
* Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
* Develop detailed tender submissions.
* Project Management:
* Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
* Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
* Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
* Site Visits:
* Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility, identify challenges, and gather essential information.
* Collaborate with the construction team during site visits to ensure smooth execution.
* Proposal Development:
* Create compelling proposals that showcase our expertise and address client needs.
* Highlight our unique value proposition and commitment to quality.
* Budget and Cost Control:
* Monitor project costs and adjust as necessary to stay within budget.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
* Quality Assurance:
* Ensure all fit-out work adheres to industry standards and safety regulations.
* Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in project management and estimation within the fit-out industry.
* Familiarity with lab and school fit-out requirements and regulations.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools
