Overview of the Estimator
My client are looking to recruit for an exciting opportunity within their Steel Structures department. This will be a full remote working position (minimal office visit may be required)
This is a prestigious fabrication company renowned for its innovation, quality and excellence in producing bespoke products tailored specifically for the dynamic needs of the construction industries working with the MOD, governments, Local Authorities and blue-chip clients.
They are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Structures/Bridges Estimator to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing structural steelwork, bridges and secondary steelwork. and be proficient in creating competitive, work winning quotations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment where creativity and precision are valued.
Candidate Responsibilities:
A proven ability to interpret Engineering drawings and Bills of Quantity to produce accurate, timely quotations.
Understanding of modern manufacturing practices and timescales.
Ability to produce final cost review summaries for presentation at pre-tender adjudication.
Ability to self-manage workload to achieve tendering deadlines.
Reporting directly to the Senior Structures Estimator.
Candidate Personal Qualities
A minimum of 8 years industry experience with significant experience within Structural Steelwork.
A team player but must also be comfortable working within a hybrid (WFH) environment.
Ability to liaise and communicate effectively between client and company.
Be fully conversant with the use of Office, Excel, Word, Teams, and relevant CRM software.
Be capable of working under own initiative to achieve deadlines.
