Salary: £26,500 - £29,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37.75 hours per week
HRGO Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Estimator / Planner to join an established and expanding business based in Winsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with estimating or planning experience who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within a commercial environment.
About the Role
As part of the Estimating and Planning team, you'll be responsible for interpreting drawings, preparing plans and job documentation, and producing accurate pricing based on individual customer requirements.
You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are planned effectively and that installations can be delivered efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing architectural and working drawings
Taking measurements and preparing accurate take-offs
Producing plans, job sheets and associated documentation
Calculating costs and preparing quotations
Developing practical and commercially viable solutions
Working with customers to understand their requirements
Providing guidance and support throughout the planning process
Liaising with internal departments to ensure projects are properly prepared
Managing several projects and priorities simultaneously
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be methodical, commercially aware and highly organised, with a good eye for detail and the ability to work confidently with numbers and technical information.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience in estimating, planning, costing or a related position
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience using estimating, planning or drawing software
Masterpiece or similar software experience would be an advantage
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational and time-management skills
The ability to work independently and use initiative
Good communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to remain focused and accurate when working with detailed information
Experience working in a busy environment with competing deadlines
Previous estimating experience of around one year or more would be advantageous, but candidates with relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
