The client has been operating for 20 years with offices in multiple locations in the South of England. The company works on designing and building inspiring workplaces for clients. About the role:
As an Estimator for this fit-out and refurbishment company, your primary duties and responsibilities would revolve around assessing and evaluating project requirements to provide accurate cost estimates. You would be responsible for analysing project specifications, reviewing architectural drawings, and conducting site visits to gather necessary information. Your role would involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to understand their needs and expectations. You would use your expertise to determine the quantity and cost of materials, labour, equipment, and other resources required for the project. Additionally, you would prepare detailed cost estimates, including itemized breakdowns, pricing analysis, and potential contingencies. Throughout the project, you may also be involved in value engineering exercises, providing cost-saving recommendations, and participating in bid negotiations. Your aim as an Estimator would be to ensure accurate and competitive pricing, contribute to the company's profitability, and assist in delivering successful fit-out and refurbishment projects.
Requirements:
The ideal Estimator candidate will have fit out and refurbishment experience. Experience on projects in sectors such as office, retail, hospitality, or anything similar is essential. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative. To be a successful Estimator, attention to detail is essential, while also possessing strong organisational skills. Having a strong network of contacts in London would be advantageous.
