My client, a leader in high-end residential and commercial construction, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team in Buckinghamshire. Role Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for high-end residential and commercial projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure that bids are precise and competitive, helping them secure exciting new contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for high-end residential and commercial tenders
Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate bids
Sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
Conducting risk assessments and value engineering to optimize costs
Preparing and presenting tender documents and proposals to clients
Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
Monitoring industry trends and pricing to stay competitive
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on high-end residential and commercial projects
Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and legislation
Proficiency in estimating software and tools
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
