Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established business operating within the construction sector. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong estimating background and experience in architectural metalwork or a related industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and supporting the successful delivery of tender submissions. This is a varied position requiring excellent attention to detail, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have:

Previous estimating experience within the construction industry.

Experience within architectural metalwork or the wider metalwork industry would be highly advantageous.

A strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions from drawings and specifications.

Analyse project documentation to identify costs, risks, and opportunities.
*
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
*
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
*
Ensure all estimates are completed accurately and submitted within required timescales.
*
Maintain estimating records and support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Working Arrangements
This is primarily an office-based position. However, for the right candidate, a hybrid working arrangement may be considered following a successful onboarding period.
