Are you an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator looking to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major rail and civil engineering projects across Scotland?
We're recruiting for an Estimator to join a growing pre-construction team, pricing a diverse range of infrastructure projects including rail, highways, bridges, stations, utilities and environmental works.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term frameworks.
The Role
Reporting into the Pre-Construction team, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive estimates from first principles while working closely with operational, commercial and supply chain teams.
You'll play a key role in securing new business by preparing high-quality tenders for projects across Scotland.
Responsibilities

Prepare competitive estimates from first principles.
*
Manage tenders from receipt through to submission.
*
Measure quantities from drawings and specifications.
*
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
*
Price labour, plant, materials and temporary works.
*
Assess project risks and opportunities.
*
Prepare tender reports and supporting documentation.
*
Attend tender review meetings with senior management.
*
Liaise with commercial, operational and design teams throughout the bid process.
About You
You'll ideally have:
*
Previous experience as an Estimator within Civil Engineering.
*
Experience pricing infrastructure projects including rail, highways, bridges, utilities or general civils.
*
Strong First Principles estimating experience.
*
Excellent commercial awareness.
*
Experience using estimating software together with Excel.
*
Strong communication and organisational skills.
