Job Title; Estimator

Salary; £25,000 to £29,000 per annum plus benefits

Shift Pattern; 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday

Location; Leicester

Our client has built a reputation as a growing provider of ventilation and extract systems to a wide range of industries.

Situated in South Leicester they are centrally based in the UK and work on projects nationwide.

Estimator Role;

* Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand the scope, requirements, and constraints of mechanical systems.

* Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions, identify potential challenges, and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.

* Analyse project components, including materials, equipment, labour, and overhead costs, to develop detailed estimates for system installation, modifications, and upgrades.

* Utilise estimating software, databases, and historical data to calculate quantities, costs, and pricing for mechanical components and systems.

* Generate quotes and pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for mechanical materials, equipment, and services.

* Prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals, bid documents, and cost breakdowns outlining the scope of work, pricing, terms, and conditions for mechanical systems.

* Customise proposals to meet the specific needs and preferences of clients while ensuring profitability and competitiveness for the company.

* Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing questions, concerns, and modifications to secure contracts.

* Work closely with other team members to ensure alignment between estimates, project plans, and client expectations.

* Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to clarify requirements, negotiate pricing, and resolve discrepancies.

* Coordinate with internal departments, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical estimates into overall project plans.

* Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness.

Estimator Candidate;

* Proven experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial construction.

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.

* Knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, piping, and equipment would be useful

* Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

* Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

* Commitment to customer satisfaction, quality, and professionalism
