Role Overview:
We are seeking an Estimator with some Quantity Surveying (QS) duties to join our Liverpool office. The ideal candidate will have a strong M&E background but should also be comfortable with building projects. This role is crucial for helping to manage and alleviate the current pressure on our Estimating team.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:
Send out enquiries and deal with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
Price up a variety of projects, primarily focusing on reactive maintenance.
Handle low value, high volume projects with quick tender turnaround times (2-3 days).
Work on larger projects (£1-3M) that require more detailed attention.
Quantity Surveying:
Assist with cost management and project evaluation.
Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BoQs) and measures.
Support the commercial management of projects, ensuring value for money.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the existing Estimating team, including two other estimators.
Engage with suppliers to negotiate and secure the best deals.
Client Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide accurate estimates.

Experience:
Strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) work.
Experience in reactive maintenance and small construction projects.

Skills:
Excellent estimating skills with the ability to price projects quickly and accurately.
Competence in Quantity Surveying duties, including cost management and BoQ preparation.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle fast-paced environments.

Attributes:
Strong electrical bias is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Personality:
We prioritize candidate profiles and personality over specific work history. We seek individuals who are motivated, detail-oriented, and thrive in dynamic environments.

Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience.
Opportunities for career development and progression.
Supportive team environment with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
