The Opportunity
Given rapid project expansion, our client is currently seeking an experienced Estimator who is comfortable estimating all aspects of construction, from breaking ground to final completion.  As the estimator, you will be required to work alongside project managers and a wider project team to produce robust underpinned estimates. 

A colossal £1.6Bn infrastructure programme of work comprising of new building facilities and refurbishment to support current and future operations over the next 15 years. The programme of work is part of Government Major Programmes & Projects and is considered a top 100 government programme.

Estimated Duration- 12 months
This role has been deemed inside of IR35

Your duties and responsibilities will be
As an Estimator, you will work Closely with Project Managers to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Absorb and assimilate information quickly from technical documents.
Assess material, labour, and plant requirements in compilation of the project estimate.
Produce quantities for building works to assist the pricing of a project, minimising costs where possible while maximising value.
Ability to simplify technical data and scope to build estimates with client focused work breakdown structure.
Carry out benchmarking as required.
Liaises with other Project Controls disciplines to prepare estimates for governance and assurance purposes.
Monitor project costs throughout the duration of the project and provide regular updates to stakeholders
responsible for the ongoing collation of benchmarking data.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Strong background in construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Good communication, analytical, presentation and reporting skills. 
Candidate must be proactive and self-driven
Strong IT and Excel Skills
Ideally 5+ years’ experience estimating.It’s great if you also have the following
Degree in quantity surveying or associated construction field, preferred.
Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent body.Get in touch now
