Estimator – Main Contractor | Residential Projects
Location: Central London
Salary: £85,000–£100,000 per annum
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Ridgeway & Co Recruitment are seeking an experienced Estimator to join an established construction main contractor operating across Central London.
The successful candidate will play a key role in pricing residential and mixed-use construction opportunities, working alongside the pre-construction and commercial teams to develop competitive and commercially sound tenders.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions.
*
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
*
Complete quantity take-offs and build-up rates.
*
Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
*
Identify tender risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
*
Attend tender meetings and coordinate with design, planning and commercial teams.
*
Support project handovers following successful tender awards.
Requirements:
*
Previous estimating experience within a main contractor.
*
Strong knowledge of residential or mixed-use construction.
*
Ability to price multiple construction packages.
*
Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and procurement.
*
Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
*
Experience using estimating software and Excel.
