Description:

Estimator
£55,000 – £75,000 + Package
Mayfair, West London

Why This Role Matters
Join a well-established, privately owned main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering refurbishment, restoration, and new build projects across London and the South East.

This business is particularly recognised for its expertise in heritage, conservation, and high-spec residential schemes, alongside commercial and public sector work.

This is a genuine opportunity for an Estimator who wants to take ownership of tenders on technically detailed projects, typically ranging from £1m to £20m, while working closely with experienced, hands-on directors.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the pre-construction team, leading tenders from enquiry through to submission.
Lead Tenders – Prepare detailed and competitive submissions across refurbishment, heritage, and new build projects.
Commercial Ownership – Analyse subcontractor returns, build up rates, and manage full pricing documents.
Technical Review – Assess drawings and specifications, identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering.
Stakeholder Liaison – Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain throughout the tender process.
Reporting – Produce clear tender reports and cost plans for internal review.
Process Improvement – Support development of estimating systems and cost databases.
You will also have the chance to support and mentor junior team members as the department grows.
About the Company – Where You’ll Be Working
You’ll be joining a specialist contractor known for delivering complex refurbishment and heritage projects, often within occupied buildings and sensitive environments.

The company combines traditional craftsmanship with modern construction techniques, maintaining a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client relationships.

Leadership is accessible, and the culture is collaborative, offering a stable platform for career growth.
