The Opportunity

We are recruiting an Estimator to join an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, supporting tenders for projects across the water sector.

You'll work alongside bid managers, planners, procurement and business development teams to develop competitive tenders and help secure new work across pipelines, tunnelling, shafts, MEICA, rail civils and groundworks.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documentation, PQQs, ITTs, drawings and specifications.

*

Prepare detailed estimates, quantities and tender build-ups.

*

Develop risk, opportunity and assumptions registers.

*

Liaise with procurement and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.

*

Collaborate with bid managers, planners and operational teams on delivery methodologies.

*

Prepare and present estimates at tender adjudications.

*

Support tender negotiations and post-tender queries.

*

Prepare estimating handover packs and support project teams following contract award.

About You

*

Estimating or operational experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.

*

Knowledge of construction methods and resource requirements.

*

Experience preparing tender build-ups and cost estimates.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

*

Strong numerical, communication and organisational skills.

*

Confidence working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Experience with Candy estimating software is required. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is desirable.
