An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a successful and growing business in Winsford.

This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to turn technical drawings into accurate project estimates. You will support residential development projects by calculating material requirements, preparing costings and helping ensure work is completed efficiently and within budget.

Working alongside colleagues and customers, you will help deliver practical, cost-effective solutions while keeping project information accurate and up to date.

The Role:

Reviewing architectural drawings and measurements to calculate material requirements and produce accurate estimates.
Preparing cutting plans and material schedules to support ordering and installation teams.
Calculating project costs in line with customer specifications and agreed pricing structures.
Identifying opportunities to reduce material waste and improve cost efficiency.
Maintaining accurate project details, cost breakdowns and records on internal business systems.
Communicating with customers to clarify requirements, resolve queries and ensure projects meet their expectations.
Carrying out site visits and measurements when required to verify dimensions and ensure plans are accurate.
Producing clear documentation to help coordinate materials, orders and installation work.
Working collaboratively with the wider team to keep projects organised and running smoothly.

The candidate:

Strong numerical ability and confidence working with measurements and calculations.
Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to resolve problems effectively.
Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and colleagues.
Effective time management, with the ability to handle several tasks and meet deadlines.
The ability to remain focused and productive in a busy, open-plan office.
A proactive attitude and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

Experience with estimating or planning software would be beneficial, although training on specific systems may be available.
