The Role

They are seeking a commercially minded Estimator to join the pre-construction team. You will play a pivotal role in securing new business, taking tenders from initial receipt through to formal submission and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze tender documentation, design drawings, and specifications to understand scope and risk.

Prepare detailed cost estimates and net budgets for two-stage, single-stage, and framework tenders.

Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating incoming quotations for value and compliance.

Lead mid-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders.

Work alongside bid management and planning teams to craft competitive, high-value proposals.

About You

RequirementDetails
ExperienceProven track record as an Estimator within a UK main contractor
Project TypesExperience pricing new build and refurbishment projects (£1m-£15m+)
Technical SkillsProficient in estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, or similar) and Excel
QualificationsHNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
Local KnowledgeStrong knowledge of the regional supply chain in Hampshire/South Coast
