Description:

About you

If you're looking for the opportunity to develop your estimating career with a business that genuinely values its people, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

You might already be working as an Estimator and be ready to take the next step with a company where your work will have a real impact. Equally, you could be an Assistant Estimator who has gained some experience and is ready for more responsibility.

You're organised, commercially aware and enjoy the challenge of pricing projects accurately. You take pride in producing high quality work, communicate well with others and want to build a long term career with a growing business.

Your experience

You'll have estimating experience within the construction industry, ideally within office fit out, refurbishment or design and build projects.

You'll be confident interpreting drawings and specifications, obtaining quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and producing accurate cost estimates.

Experience using estimating software would be beneficial, although it isn't essential if you have strong estimating knowledge and are keen to learn new systems.

Most importantly, you'll have a good eye for detail, understand construction methods and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

What you will be doing with your experience

You'll be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate tenders for a variety of office fit out and design and build projects.

Your role will include reviewing drawings and tender documentation, carrying out quantity take offs, obtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and preparing detailed cost estimates.

You'll work closely with the commercial and operational teams to develop competitive tender submissions, identify value engineering opportunities and ensure every submission is commercially sound.

You'll build relationships with the supply chain, attend site visits when required, keep up to date with material and labour costs and support the handover of successful projects to the delivery team.

This is an opportunity to become a key part of the pre construction team where your input will directly contribute to the continued growth of the business.

The salary for the role is £50,000, with the opportunity to continue developing your career as the business grows.

About the business

You'll be joining a well established office fit out and design and build contractor based in Farnham, delivering high quality commercial workplace projects for clients across the South.

The business has built an excellent reputation for quality, repeat business and long term client relationships. Continued growth means they are now looking to strengthen their pre construction team with the addition of an Estimator who wants to be part of their long term success.

This is an office based role where you'll work closely with experienced construction professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
