Scotland | Hybrid Working | Up to £75,000 + Package
URGENT NEW OPPORTUNITY
The Highfield Company is currently recruiting for a Managing Estimator to join an established steel business experiencing a significant period of aggressive growth.
The business is seeing increasing demand for specialist steelwork within the Power Transmission & Distribution sector, with a growing workload across transmission towers, substations and associated infrastructure.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator looking to take the next step into a Managing Estimator position, as well as an established Managing Estimator seeking a new challenge within a rapidly expanding business.
The Role
As Managing Estimator, you will take a lead role within the estimating function, supporting the continued growth of the business and helping manage an increasing pipeline of projects.
You will be responsible for overseeing estimating activities, reviewing tenders and costs, supporting the wider commercial function and working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure competitive and commercially robust submissions.
About You
Experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator with a strong understanding of estimating and tendering.
Structural steel experience is preferred, although candidates from other relevant sectors will also be considered.
Experience within steelwork, engineering, fabrication, construction, infrastructure, utilities, power or similar sectors would be relevant.
Strong commercial and technical understanding.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
Experience leading, mentoring or supporting other estimators would be advantageous.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ambitious and looking to progress into a senior management position.
