Estate Maintenance Assistant

Job Purpose:

To maintain engineering equipment within the practical areas of the training centre and general maintenance in and around the premise and assist the senior leadership with business improvement and health & safety.

* Ensure that, at all times, duties are carried out with due regard to the Company’s policies and procedures including but not limited to Safeguarding and Prevent

* Maintain engineering equipment within the workshop and teaching areas

* Ensure all workshop areas are clean, orderly, and safe

* Order resources using appropriate Company procedures to support curriculum needs by sourcing best value at all times

* Promote a sustainable work environment through reducing, reusing, and recycling wherever possible

* Implement safe and ethical disposal procedures

* Contribute to the Company’s quality initiatives including self-assessment, observation, appraisal and the mentoring and support of colleagues.

* Contribute to and take up staff development opportunities

* Assist with related tasks such as, but not limited to, attending Company events, exam invigilating, induction events and award ceremonies.

* Carry out such duties as the line manager shall from time to time require

* Agree personal work objectives with the line manager and to regularly review progress towards their achievement

* Carry out duties with due regard to the Company’s customer care, equality and diversity, information governance, data protection and health and safety policies and procedures

* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, including cross-service responsibilities as agreed with the line manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential qualifications/experience:

* Preferably a Level 3 or 4 qualification in an engineering related field

* Preferably experience of business improvement techniques

* Preferably health & safety qualification

Essential Personal Qualities:

* Confidence

* Organisational skills

* Adaptability

* Creativity

* Good teamworking skills

* Communication skills

* Numerical skills
