Caretaker / Estate Cleaner - East London
£16.00 per hour | 35-40 hours per week | Enhanced DBS Required
Are you an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Caretaker based in or around East London? Are you looking for a stable role, a great working environment and £16.00 per hour?
We are currently recruiting for a Caretaker / Estate Cleaner to join a professional team responsible for maintaining residential estates to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, is self-motivated and can work confidently using their own initiative.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring communal areas, internal spaces and external areas are kept clean, safe and well presented.
Your duties will include:
Internal and external cleaning
Sweeping communal areas and external spaces
Litter picking and changing bins
Internal window cleaning
General cleaning and caretaking duties
Reporting maintenance or health and safety issues
Ensuring sites are maintained to a high standard
Following all relevant Health & Safety procedures
Working independently while contributing positively to the wider team
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Enhanced Clear DBS -PREFERABLE
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar caretaker, estate cleaning or maintenance role
Proven experience carrying out cleaning and general maintenance duties
A reliable and hardworking attitude
The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Good teamwork and communication skills
Confidence using appropriate tools and equipment
Excellent awareness of Health & Safety procedures
Experience working to quality standards and customer specifications
Good attention to detail
A physically fit and active approach to work
