Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager

We are looking for an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the head of the Kaplan Pathways’ Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team and working with stakeholders across Kaplan Pathways and the broader Kaplan organisation, the role plays a crucial function in fostering inclusivity and creating an equitable environment throughout Kaplan Pathways, including supporting Employee Resource Groups globally, running a series of events and training and fostering partnerships that support Kaplan Pathways’ EDI strategy and ambition.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager - What you’ll bring to the role

Essential

*

Professional expertise in equity, diversity and inclusion that can be applied to the delivery of programmes and partnerships that tackle disadvantage and inequity.

*

Experience of managing innovative programmes, including ERGs and/or programmes related to the development of underrepresented and historically excluded communities within a complex environment - introducing structure, accountability and consistently applied decision making frameworks.

*

Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to work effectively and build alliances and common ground between groups of stakeholders who may differ.

*

High levels of creativity and problem solving – often introducing new ways of working or projects challenging traditional EDI approaches. You can bring in knowledge and skills from a wide range of people and apply them to your work.

*

The ability to work with teams in different locations internationally – applying your work to markets with different cultural and legislative frameworks on EDI activity.

*

High degrees of objectivity on issues that generate high emotion, and the confidence and credibility to manage perspectives that may differ from your own.

*

A strong attitude to continual learning and ability to acquire new knowledge and form relationships across a complex business network to define EDI activity in partnership with subject matter experts in highly specialised areas.

*

Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presenting), and willingness to seek and take the advice of communication professionals to create better outcomes.

*

Strong influencing skills across multiple levels with various stakeholders, champions and colleagues, demonstrating engagement and adoption of EDI strategy. This will not only define EDI priorities, but also decide what is not a priority, whilst maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.

*

Passionate about Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, employee development and engagement.

*

Strong analytical and data skills; ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into insights.

*

High proficiency in MS Office programs, and ability to adapt to and learn new software programmes/systems.

*

Ability to work independently and as a strong, supportive team member.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager - Desirable

*

Relevant experience managing or leading Employee Resource Groups.

*

Experience managing external partnerships and stakeholders.

*

Experience in managing budgets and negotiating and managing contracts.
