Hours: 9am until 5pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Up to £45,000

Polytec are looking for an Equipment Engineer for our client based just north of Cambridge.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and upgrade cleanroom environment and facilities
* Upgrade equipment from proof-of-concept to execution
* Analyse equipment breakdowns, developing corrective actions
* Continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and scalability
* Develop preventive maintenance procedures to minimise equipment breakdowns
* Develop troubleshooting procedures to reduce machine downtime
* Setup and commission new equipment
* Regular maintenance offering minimal interruption to production

Requirements:

* Ideally around 5 years' experience as an equipment engineer in a chemical / semiconductor manufacturing environment
* Degree / HND in a scientific or engineering field (equivalent experience acceptable)
* A good understanding of electronic and mechanical principles
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills, both in writing and verbally
* Familiar with maintaining equipment
