Equipment Engineers

Due to winning new projects and clients, Belcan are looking for Equipment Engineers to work on a variety of aerospace platforms and able to be based at one of Belcan's Offices - Glasgow, Derby, Bristol, Cheltenham or Runcorn, on a Hybrid working basis.

The Equipment Engineer should have a strong technical background in Aerospace and the management of new equipment requirements through to compliance. They will help assist in delivering solutions to customers and provide detailed technical guidance and execution of requirement management plans and the associated strategies. They will have a passion to help drive forward innovative ideas and follow them through to implementation, whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements.

The Equipment Engineer will work with system architects, specialists from other disciplines, project teams and suppliers and collaborate closely with subject matter experts at the forefront of a significant evolution in the Defence industry to define and agree the specifications for airborne equipment and their associated support requirements. They will be involved in the whole life cycle of the supply of equipment onto new and legacy programmes, from concept, specification, test, configuration and installation.

For this role you will ideally have:

Degree in a STEM subject and a minimum of 5-10 years relevant engineering experience in Aerospace or a Safety Critical related field or equivalent experience.
Experience working on requirements specification and development of airborne equipment.
Experience working with suppliers and multiple stakeholders.
Experience of producing documentation such as Test Reports, System Requirements Documentation (SRD), Interface Control Documentation (ICD), Engineering Design Requirements (EDR) and Test Requirements.
