Description:
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Environmental Services Assistant to join Sheffield City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities

To complete basic written records and weekly timesheets. Ability to follow written instructions
*
Carrying out of organised visits and revisits as instructed to maximise the efficiency of the section
* Handling payments including cash and following correct financial procedures.
* Assist other officers in drainage investigations and assist in carrying out remedial work including the sealing of drains.
* To respond to environmental problems, including illegally dumped commercial, household garbage, animal carcasses and undertake clearance as directed.
* To undertake collection, loading and disposal of condemned foodstuffs as directed.
* To undertake clearance/ cleaning/ disinfection of noxious, verminous or contaminated articles and premises including faeces, sharps in both vacant properties and occupied as directed
* To drive Council and other vehicles and carry out routine daily vehicle checks in line with existing procedures including refuelling.

Essential Requirements
*
Experience working as an environmental services assistant
*
Full Uk driving licence
