An opportunity has become available for a detail-oriented Environmental Officer to support site development, regulatory compliance and environmental management across multiple marine locations.

Key responsibilities include:

* Driving site development activities, including coordinating environmental impact assessments (EIAs), stakeholder consultations and licence applications across marine location

* Managing consent compliance processes, supporting renewal applications, maintaining regulatory databases and preparing submissions for regulatory authorities

* Monitoring and reporting on environmental impact, contributing to the Environmental Management System (EMS) and supporting continuous improvement across operations

* Liaising with external contractors and statutory bodies, ensuring surveys, mapping and development assessments are completed to regulatory and operational standards

* Staying ahead of industry developments, maintaining expert knowledge of Scottish aquaculture regulations, environmental frameworks and consent trends

* Supporting budgeting and strategic planning, contributing data-driven insights and deputising for the Environmental Manager when needed

What we are looking for:

* Essential: Current experience within the aquaculture industry, with a strong understanding of marine farming operations and environmental challenges

* Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, Ecology, or a related discipline

* Proven experience managing and delivering marine Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)

* Strong working knowledge of environmental regulation and consenting requirements within the aquaculture sector

* Experience using GIS software and environmental sampling and monitoring techniques

* Membership of IEMA or an equivalent professional body (desirable)

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to remote coastal and marine sites
