* Own internal and external audit programmes, ensuring ongoing audit readiness and timely closure of non‑conformances

* Act as the site expert for HACCP, VACCP and TACCP, maintaining robust feed safety, defence and vulnerability frameworks

* Oversee non‑conforming product management, root cause investigations and CAPA implementation

* Manage site‑wide document control systems in line with quality and compliance policies

* Lead environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with permits, legislation and regulatory requirements

* Monitor and report on environmental KPIs, including energy, waste, water and emissions

* Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, efficiency and continuous improvement

* Deliver technical training and capability development across quality, laboratory and environmental disciplines

* Act as the primary technical interface with certification bodies, regulators, suppliers and third‑party partners

* Work closely with manufacturing, R&D and site leadership to support operational and strategic objectives

People Profile

* Proven experience in a quality leadership role within food, feed or FMCG manufacturing environments

* Strong laboratory background with hands‑on experience in microbiology, PCR methods and aseptic techniques

* Demonstrable experience managing ISO‑based management systems and regulatory audits

* Working knowledge of environmental management systems, ideally ISO14001

* Confident and credible leader with the ability to influence, coach and develop cross‑functional teams

* Highly organised, detail‑focused and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, regulated environment

* A proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability
