Location: London NW1 – Office, 3 days working in the office/site per week, 2 days working from home.

I am recruiting for two Environmental Manager opportunities on a nationally significant infrastructure project in London. These roles offer the chance to work within embedded project teams, supporting the delivery of complex civil engineering and construction works while ensuring the highest environmental standards are maintained throughout the programme.

Working alongside contractors, delivery teams and senior stakeholders, you'll provide environmental leadership across a variety of construction activities, helping to identify risks, drive compliance and deliver practical environmental solutions. These are hands-on roles requiring regular site attendance and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Essential

Experience working on major infrastructure or complex construction projects.
Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, compliance and assurance.
Experience managing environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience working with main contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Confidence challenging contractors and influencing project teams where required.
The ability to manage difficult conversations professionally and constructively.
A practical, delivery-focused approach.
Willingness to spend regular time on construction sites as part of an embedded project team.
Desirable

Experience with biodiversity, ecology or landscape mitigation.
Experience managing Environment Agency permits.
Knowledge of waste management, noise and vibration controls.
Experience working alongside legal or environmental assurance teams.
Membership of a relevant professional institution.
If you're an experienced Environmental Manager looking to work on a landmark infrastructure programme where you'll have genuine influence over environmental performance and project delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
