ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT POSITION FOR TOTAL WASTE SOLUTIONS PROVIDER WITH A LARGE PRESENCE IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT SECTOR TO ASSIST WITH CLIENT PERMITTING PLANS.
We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned Waste Management consultancy for an experienced Environmental Consultant to handle site permitting for their clients. Package:
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

ROLE: Environmental Consultant
As an Environmental Consultant, you will manage your own client portfolio, performing desk studies and client visits to issue site permits. Leveraging your technical expertise in land quality characterization, you will conduct risk assessments and deliver commercially viable and sustainable solutions. Staying abreast of all relevant legislation, government guidelines, and current research is crucial to ensure compliance with legislative, health and safety, risk assessment, and liability standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting site permitting, site investigations, and assessments
Preparing reports to support planning and permit applications
Ensuring adherence to company regulations during visits
Completing necessary paperwork
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A degree in Environmental Science or a related field
Experience in preparing applications for Environmental Permits
Proven ability to liaise effectively with the Environment Agency (EA)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A full UK driving licence and own transport for site visits
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
