Do you have experience of overseeing an environmental management system and procedures across a manufacturing site to ensure compliance with applicable standards and legislation?

We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join a highly respected, employer of choice in Hereford. Now is the perfect time to join as they as currently going through a significant period of growth and are looking to put a real focus into improving the impact of their manufacturing on the environment.
As Environmental Advisor you will:
- Use your experience in an environmental or similar role within a manufacturing environment to full advantage when looking at waste management, sustainability, carbon footprint assessment and effective liaison with enforcement agencies.
- Be completely up to date and have a solid understanding of all environmental regulations.
- Promote an Environmental culture, providing support and training at all levels of the organisation
- Provide guidance and support to all levels of the company for ensuring environmental and sustainability awareness and control.
- Maintain environmental management systems certified to ISO 14001
- Develop Environmental action plans for departments and support managers.
- Undertake frequent workplace inspections to identify discrepancies and implement actions to correct
- Monitor Environmental performance and recommend priorities and actions for improvement.
- Log environmental incidents and support management to ensure personal and environmental incidents are investigated thoroughly to establish and implement actions to prevent recurrence
