Role: Environmental Advisor

Company: Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor

Location: Water Orton, Birmingham

Day rate: £400 - £450 PAYE

Project: HS2

Randstad is currently looking for an Environmental Advisor to work with a well-established Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor on HS2 in Water Orton, Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

Advising Construction teams on environmental issues
Be familiar with the conditions of contract, as they relate to environmental issues.
Report on the sites environmental performance against the Projects objectives and targets.
Understand the financial implications of decisions affecting environmental issues and seek to ensure best financial outcome for business.
Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management. Experience & Qualities:

Good understanding of environmental legislation and principles of environmental management systems.
Determination to see tasks through to completion, along with excellent planning and organisation skills.Desirable:

Member of an environmental professional body
