Contract Environmental Advisor
Water Sector | Thames Valley | £400-£450 per day
We’re working with a leading design and build contractor seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to support the delivery of water sector projects across the Thames Valley region.
This is a hands-on contract opportunity, supporting environmental compliance and working closely with site teams, clients and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide environmental advice and support to site and project teams.
* Support environmental planning and pre-construction activities.
* Identify and manage environmental risks, particularly around water contamination.
* Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements.
* Support waste management and environmental protection measures.
* Ensure appropriate consideration of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs).
* Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
About You
* Experience in an Environmental Advisor or similar role within construction, infrastructure or utilities.
* Previous experience in the water sector, particularly environmental risks relating to water contamination.
* Knowledge of pre-construction environmental works.
* Site-based construction and waste management experience.
* Understanding of SSSI requirements.
* Strong communication and client-facing skills.
