The English team at this school have recently had a new Head of Department join and there is a new buzz around the department so the focus is to find & welcome a new team member to share the same enthusiasm.The English department is fortunate to be located in their own building and with a large independent staff workroom. The team are all English subject specialists and work collaboratively.
The school delivers to Key Stage 3 & 4 students and is a well-established community school, based in a small town with a catchment area also drawing from rural areas. The school have long enjoyed a good reputation and forms an important part of the local community. There's a bright outlook on their future, with a new school building being an eagerly anticipated positive change. The school have long enjoyed a 'Good' grading by Ofsted although have recently had several areas flagged as requiring improvement.
