Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and educational English lessons to young learners, fostering a love for reading and writing, and promoting literacy across the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in English.

* Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.

* Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.

* Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and disciplinary systems.

* Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

* Prepare classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts.

* Organize the classroom environment to enhance learning and to accommodate the varied learning needs of students.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.

* Experience in teaching English at the primary level.

* Strong knowledge of the primary English curriculum and teaching methods.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
