Description:

Tradewind are seeking an experienced English teacher WITH QUALIFIED TEACHER STATUS IN THE UK to work in a North Birmingham mixed 11-16 mainstream secondary school from September 2024. This is a full-time, long-term supply role initially for 1 term with potential to join the school permanently from January.

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic success and literacy skills of students. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of young minds, fostering a love for literature, language, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging KS3 & KS4 English lessons for students.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work to facilitate continuous improvement.
Foster a love for reading, writing, and effective communication skills among students.
Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the learning experience.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the English curriculum.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Specialisation or strong background in English/Literature.
Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and teaching best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for inspiring a love of literature and language in students.Requirements:

Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level is ESSENTIAL.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of educational trends.
