Description:
We are currently recruiting for a English Teacher to work in an inner-city secondary school in East Leeds.
This is a full-time English placement and will be to start in September until the end of the Autumn term, in the first instance, with a potential to be made permanent.
A successful teacher will be able to deliver English to A level and will be responsible for planning, marking and their own exam classes.
This Academy, based in is an environment where Teachers have carefully considered ways to help pupils express themselves in a fluent and articulate way. The school’s work to develop pupils’ oracy has been externally recognised. All pupils are encouraged to discuss topics, share their thoughts and contribute to the life of the school.
Requirements:
* QTS or relevant teaching qualification
* Well qualified with an honours degree in relevant subject
* 2 x references from educational establishments
* A passion for success and quality teaching
* An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service
