English Teacher Needed in South Heath

Are you passionate about teaching English and inspiring students to excel in their language skills? Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English teacher for a role in the South Heath area.

Role: English Teacher

Location: South Heath

Start Date: September 2024

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that comply with curriculum standards.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning needs of all students.
Utilise both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and development.
Offer timely and constructive feedback, emphasising strengths and areas for improvement to guide students toward academic achievement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Cultivate a love for literature by exploring a variety of genres and authors.
Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and promote digital literacy.
Establish clear behaviour and academic expectations to maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Promote collaboration and peer interaction through group activities, cooperative learning, and inclusive discussions.
To register for supply work, you MUST meet the following criteria:

Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
Hold, or be willing to carry out, an enhanced DBS
Be able to provide professional references to cover you for at least 2 years.
Be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher with the school’s values at the forefront of what you are doing.
Have good classroom management and ability to engage a diverse range of pupil abilities.
Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile to support pupil progress
Able to commute to South Heath and the surrounding areas
