The role:
As an English teacher at this school, you will play a vital role in inspiring and motivating our students to develop a love for literature and language. Your expertise in managing behaviour, combined with your passion for teaching, will make a significant impact on our students' educational journeys.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH and ADHD.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and encourages active participation.
Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to establish a calm and focused classroom atmosphere.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them overcome learning barriers.
Track student progress and use assessment data to inform instructional strategies.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Proven experience working with students with SEMH and ADHD, ideally within a behaviour school or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, along with creative and innovative teaching approaches.
Ability to build rapport with students, inspire their learning, and instill confidence in their abilities.
Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
